Chilly Election Day, then wintry mix and showers return
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Governor Tony Evers announced a $15 million investment in the Medical College of Wisconsin Friday morning as part of his proposed capital budget.
The announcement was made on Friday at MCW.
The money would help pay for a $100 million cancer research facility on the campus. The center would include high-tech equipment and research space allowing doctors, students and patients to work together.
“This kind of heightened collaboration will help people all over Wisconsin access state-of-the-art cancer care and the latest clinical trials,” Evers said.
Leaders from MCW say the $15 million would help get the proposed 150,000 gross sq. ft. project going.
