Go Fly a Kite This Weekend at Lake Lawn Resort and Downtown Delavan

Sky Circus on Ice returns to Lake Lawn Resort Saturday and Sunday, featuring airborne performances by national kite teams over Delavan Lake, move-themed ice carving and snow sculpting by regional artists, kite making workshops and a mix of other outdoor activities and games for all ages to enjoy.

The event is free and open to the public. Here's the schedule:

Friday February 12 – Sunday February 14

Snow Sculptures & Ice Carvings @ Lake Lawn Resort and Downtown Delavan:
Friday beginning at 10:30 AM – Sunday at 5:00 PM with final judging on Sunday @ 5 PM

Snow Carving class led by professional carvers @ Lake Lawn Resort and Downtown Delavan:
Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM

Blizzard Run Snow Slide along Lakefront at Lake Lawn Resort:
Carving begins Tuesday, February 9th | Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 AM – 4 PM

Kite Making Workshop for All Ages ($4 charge per person):
Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 AM  and 2 PM in the Lake Lawn Room

Aerial Candy Drop Sponsored by Andes Candies:
Saturday and Sunday afternoon after performances (weather pending)

Outdoor Kite Activities on Saturday & Sunday:
Team Warmups begin at 10 AM
Flying lessons begin at 10 AM
Opening ceremonies begin at 11:30 AM
Outdoor team performances from 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Indoor Kite Performance:
Multiple daily performances by Connor Doran from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”
in the Great Room. Show lasts approx. 45-50 minutes- Saturday – 1 PM / 2 PM / 4 PM  & Sunday – 1 PM / 2 PM 

Fireside Movie Nights:
On both Friday & Saturday nights, families are welcome to gather in the Great Room for movies beginning at 8 PM each night. Friday night will feature “Finding Nemo” and Saturday will feature “Mary Poppins”.
