GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- People gathered at Glendale's Bavarian Bierhaus to celebrate the new year with Germany Tuesday, Dec. 31.
There's a seven-hour time difference, so midnight in Munich was at 5 p.m. in Wisconsin.
Many of those celebrating at the beer garden were of German descent. Some even dressed in traditional Bavarian clothing.
"This is traditional German tracthausen," said Michael Lauson. "This is the kind of stuff that everybody thinks people wear all the time in Germany. They don't in fact -- but it's fun to get up in this stuff every now and then."
