MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast has introduced a summer initiative aimed at preparing incoming kindergarten and first-grade students for school through its Get Ready with Girl Scouts program.
Kelly D’Amato-Turnquist, Larissa Payne and Amy Jilek joined us Monday, June 16 to talk about how the Girl Scouts support new members
Through Saturday, June 30, girls who enroll with an Extended Year Membership, valid through Sept. 30, 2026, will receive three skill-building activity books and a welcome gift. The program is offered in English and Spanish.
Organizers said the books focus on motor skills, communication and emotional readiness through puzzles and teamwork. Participants will also receive family-oriented activity newsletters.
Enrollment costs $98 for girls and $42 for adults, with waivers available for Head Start families. Registration details are available through the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast.
