Germantown homeowners call police after home is burglarized, end up arrested instead
Germantown, WIS. (CBS 58) -- Two people are under arrest after calling the police to report a burglary.
The Germantown Police Department took a report of a residential daytime burglary to a home on Maple Road, just north of Appleton Ave.
It happened around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Upon returning home from work, the homeowners found that their home was forcibly entered and valuables including a large sum of cash and weapons were taken.
During the officer's investigation, they located a marijuana grow in the basement of the burglary victim's home.
Recovered from the home were 32 marijuana plants, packaged marijuana, and high-end growing equipment.
Both homeowners were taken into custody and held on charges of Manufacture Deliver THC, Maintaining a Drug Traffic Place, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The male homeowner also faces a charge of Possession of Narcotic Drugs.
According to police, the burglary investigation remains active and under investigation.
