Gas leak near Marquette causes evacuation

MILWAUKEE -- Crews for WE Energies are on site of a gas leak near Marquette University. Officials received a call around 8:20 a.m. of a strong gas odor near 816 N. 18th St.
WE Energies says they believe the leak originated in the street and migrated to nearby buildings from underground.
Surrounding buildings have been evacuated as the issue is being worked on.
