Garza hurt as Brewers lose series finale

ST. LOUIS - Injuries finally caught up to the Brewers in St. Louis Wednesday in a 9-3 loss at Busch Stadium.

A lineup without Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez could produce only a few early home runs, and Matt Garza left the game in the fourth inning with a contusion after injuring his thumb during a swing. Garza is listed as day-to-day.

Jean Segura had a pinch-hit double in the ninth and is expected, along with Aramis Ramirez, to be back in the starting lineup Thursday for the opener in a four-game series against the Reds.
