MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- CBS 58's Amanda Porterfield emceed the Garden Homes Historic District's 100th anniversary legacy dinner on Thursday, Oct. 12.
The Garden Homes Historic District implemented as the country's first public housing project in 1923 under the former Mayor, Daniel Hoan.
Tonight, the grandson of the former Mayor told stories of his famous grandfather, while the Wisconsin Historical Society spoke about the importance of the district's architect.
