Garage Door Fell on a Milwaukee Man Killing Him

A Milwaukee man died after a garage door fell on him.

According to the homeowner there was no reason for him to be on his property or in the garage.

The incident occurred on Thursday at 8:50 AM.

According to the Medical Examiner's report, Alphonso McDaniel, 53-years-old, was found dead in the rear alley of 3803 N. 24th Place in Milwaukee.

The homeowner told Milwaukee Police he knew McDaniel for over 30 years.

The day of the incident, the homeowner was going to show him how to work on a truck in his yard that needed to  be repaired.

It is believed McDaniel used a hole digger, scrap 2x4s and a concrete stone to prop the garage door open to gain access.

One of the items moved causing the garage door to come down on the man.

J.D. Griffith’s said the garage door weighed around 500 to 600 pounds.
