Children rescued from house fire in Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood
Milwaukee, WIS. (CBS 58) -- The walls were raised on one woman's new house in Milwaukee.
Lavitta Moore got some help from Komatsu volunteers and Habitat for Humanity to raise the walls on her first home in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Moore tells us that she's thankful for all the volunteers who came out to help.
"When I first came, I felt sad because I didn't have any family with me but when I walked up and saw everyone out here, it made me feel special," said Lavitta Moore.
Moore's house should be finished next spring.
Her house is part of Habitat's "Blitz Build" where volunteers hope to raise the walls on two homes this week.
