Froedtert moves adult Emergency department entrance

Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin's  adult Emergency Department entrance is moving.
The Emergency Department entrance will move from its existing location on West Connell Avenue to its new location on William Coffey Drive. Beginning at 7 AM on July 14, patients visiting the adult Emergency Department are asked to enter on William Coffey Drive.
The Children’s Hospital Emergency Department entrance, which was shared with the old Froedtert Hospital Emergency Department entrance, will remain in the same location for children. Adults and patients with pregnancy-related emergencies need to enter the new adult Emergency Department entrance on William Coffey Drive.
For fast and easy parking, free valet service will be available 24/7 at the adult Emergency Department entrance. Visitors who choose not to use valet service can park in Parking Structure 3, where there is an area reserved for emergency patients and visitors, and follow signs to the entrance. As eastern Wisconsin’s only adult Level 1 Trauma Center, we remain the resource for all types of emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The front entrance relocation is part of a larger expansion of the Emergency Department which will continue into January 2016. “The expansion will strengthen our ability to provide high quality care,” said Emergency Department Medical Director Jonathan Rubin, MD. “Adding additional rooms will allow us to increase our capacity to care for patients, resulting in shorter wait times.”
