MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Levi Stein, president of Friendship Circle of Wisconsin, joined us on Thursday, Sept. 4 to talk about the free SafeTALK suicide trainings held in memory of Alderman Jonathan Brostoff. Stein launched the We Can Save Lives Tour with a goal of 41 trainings.
That goal will be reached on Wednesday, Sept. 10, which is also World Suicide Prevention Day.
The event will be held at Milwaukee High School of the Arts, where Brostoff attended. More than 1,000 students have been trained since his death. In addition to the training, Brostoff’s wife, Diana, will speak along with Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez.
The schedule includes a QPR suicide prevention training at 9:30 a.m., a special presentation at 10:30 a.m. and the final SafeTALK training from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
