Friday's Our Best Shot at Rain
We've been talking about it for a long time. Rainfall deficits. Well today is the day we could make up the difference on what we're lacking if everything comes together the right way. In anticipation of the flooding potential, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch until midnight tonight for the entire viewing area.
We already had one batch of precipitation roll through overnight. In fact, some spots got more than a half an inch. We need so much more. At least in the Milwaukee area, we're more than 7 inches below normal. Low pressure will pass just to the south of us today. And this is what's keeping us on the unsettled side of things.
Some of the computer models are hinting at more than three inches. Although I think general amounts up to an inch will be more common.
After today, we could still see a pop up shower or storm Saturday afternoon. But this will not be a widespread deal. Sunday looks nice. Highs both days will be near 80.
