Freshmen Move In at Marquette Starts Wednesday
On Wednesday, August 24, more than 2,000 freshmen from 41 states, 22 countries and two U.S. territories will call Milwaukee home when they move into residence halls on the Marquette University campus.
A surge in student demand has led to one of the largest and most diverse populations of incoming freshman ever, with 23% of the class comprised of first-generation students and 30% of students of color, up from 23% just one year ago.
The residence hall move-in takes place from 8:00 AM until 2:30 PM.
Through Saturday, August 27, freshmen will participate in New Student Orientation, including organized activities on campus and throughout Milwaukee.
The all-university Mass of the Holy Spirit will bring together the entire campus community for the first time this academic year at 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 28 at the Church of the Gesu located at 1145 West Wisconsin Avenue.
