MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A free meal can go a long way for those working on the front lines.
Some Milwaukee "40 under 40" classmates are doing their part to give back to those workers, specifically Milwaukee County firefighters.
It all started from a virtual conversation between Bucks' DJ Shawna and Hell's Kitchen contestant, Chef Adam.
They enlisted the help of Alexa Alfaro with Meat on the Street and Milwaukee firefighter Joe Flick to help put the plan into action.
"With everything going on in the community, especially with a lot of the anti-Asian attacks we've been seeing all over the country, it feels really good for me to feed people with food," said Alfaro. "Like I like making people happy with food, so for me to be able to do that passion is really center of my focus."
A total of 70 hot and delicious meals were hand delivered Thursday, March 18, to firefighters, for free.
