FPC recommends firing of Milwaukee firefighters for vandalism

MILWAUKEE-- The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission has recommended that the Fire Chief discharge five members of Engine 32 for their actions on September, 2013, according to a statement from the Milwaukee Fire Department.
The board concluded it's internal investigation and made the recommendation based on the reports of vandalism at Engine House 32, located on N. 30th St., during the Sept. 28 overnight shift.
The members recommended for discharge will have the opportunity to present their own case to the Fire Chief before he makes the final decision, according to the statement.
State statutes allow Fire department personnel to appeal the Chief's decision.
