Four charged in connection with Sheboygan man's overdose death at Vollrath Park

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan Police Department is currently investigating an overdose death that happened at Vollrath Park.

Police were called to the park on Tuesday and located an unresponsive male in the bathroom. He was identified as a 32-year-old Sheboygan resident who died from an accidental drug-related overdose.

Investigation revealed that the person responsible for providing the drugs to the victim was a 38-year-old Sheboygan Falls woman. She was arrested. It was revealed that she was provided the drugs by a 28-year-old Sheboygan County man who was also taken into custody. That man gave officers information about a source of drugs in the Milwaukee area.

With the assistance of the Milwaukee Police Department, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man was also arrested for his role in providing drugs to the man that died. A search warrant of the home was conducted resulting in the seizure of more suspect drugs and firearms. A Milwaukee woman was also arrested and jailed on felony drug charges. 

Charges are pending against all of those involved.

Sheboygan Police issued the following statement, "The Sheboygan Police Department offers our sincere condolences to the family and friends of deceased. The abuse of drugs and alcohol has an enormous negative impact on our community. If you know of someone struggling with addiction, are struggling yourself, are looking for resources or support or would like to find out more about addiction, prevention and response please take the time to stop for a few minutes or longer at the International Overdose Awareness Day Event at Fountain Park on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4 pm to 9 pm."
