FORT ATKINSON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fort Atkinson Police Department is investigating a domestic disturbance near Washington and Hickory just west of Highway 89 that happened on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Police say they responded to a home in the area where shots were fired.
A CBS 58 reporter on scene saw police vehicles and tape blocking multiple streets.
The reporter spoke to a woman who lives in the neighborhood who said children were trick-or-treating in the area shortly before this happened.
"The thing is, this shouldn't be going during trick-or-treating for any of the kids," said Jefferson County resident Beccy Stroker. "Especially even after trick-or-treating."
According to police, the scene is secured and safe, but they remain on scene as they continue to investigate the incident.
