Former Window Select owner due in court this month; facing criminal charges
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The former owner of Window Select appeared in court this week, facing criminal charges for allegedly defrauding customers.
This comes after several years of complaints against the former Menomonee Falls company which is no longer operating under its original name or leadership.
CBS 58 has been following the story since the beginning and has heard from dozens of customers and former employees of the company who voiced concerns. Customers said they had paid for windows and never received them.
The man at the center of it all is Justin Kiswardy, who served as the company owner at the time. Now, he's facing felony charges in two different counties, accused of defrauding customers.
The first of the criminal charges was filed last April in Marathon County. There, Kiswardy is accused of defrauding two customers back in February of 2022. His next court appearance for that case is set for June 17th.
The latest of the criminal charges against him include charges filed out of Kenosha County earlier this year. Kiswardy appeared in court this week for that case and his attorney made a motion to dismiss the case.
While Kenosha and Marathon counties are the only places where criminal charges against Kiswardy have been filed, there have been complaints from former Window Select customers in several other counties across Wisconsin, including Milwaukee.
Right now, Kiswardy is out on bond and according to court documents, he has since moved to Pittsburgh.
Kiswardy's next court appearance is scheduled for May 21 in Kenosha County.
