MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Fresh Coast Jazz Festival is scheduled to take place in Milwaukee from Thursday, Aug. 21 through Saturday, Aug. 23, featuring 12 concerts at the Pabst Theater.
Carl Brown, chief executive officer of the Fresh Coast Jazz Festival, joined us on Monday, Aug. 18 to preview the festival.
Headliners include Grammy-nominated saxophonist Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber Fusion, guitarist Chris Standring, pianist Kayla Waters, the Braxton Brothers and Four80East. The lineup also features winners of the Hometown All-Stars Showcase.
Additional events include a live jazz lunch cruise, a wine-and-music pairing event and free nightly "Night Cap" performances.
Morning Q&A sessions with artists will be held Friday and Saturday.
Founded in Milwaukee, the festival supports local music education and healthcare initiatives.
