OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) — A man in his 30s was rescued from Lake Michigan and taken to the hospital Sunday evening after an incident at Bender Park.

The Oak Creek Fire Department told CBS 58 crews responded to the park and pulled the man from the water before transporting him to Froedtert Hospital.

Officials have not released information on the man's condition.

The Oak Creek Police Department is investigating what led up to the rescue.

The fire department noted Bender Park was crowded Sunday as many people sought relief from the sweltering temperatures.

The incident remains under investigation.
