Former UW-Milwaukee Basketball Player will Play Professionally Overseas

Former Milwaukee men's basketball standout J.J. Panoske has signed to play overseas with Kangoeroes Basket Willebroek in Belgium.

Panoske enjoyed a breakout senior campaign, setting career-highs by averaging 10.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. J.J. finished seventh in the Horizon League this past season with his 51.3 percent field-goal shooting, ranked third in blocks (1.6 bpg) and 10th in three-point FG percentage at 40.6 percent.

He tallied 826 points and 472 rebounds in his career, tying the program record for most games played at 125. His 82 career starts finished tied for ninth and his 54 blocks as a senior broke the school record, which he set at 41 as a freshman. His 154 career blocks makes him the only Panther to record over 100 in a career finished double the old record of 87.
