Former Kenosha County Sheriff's Officer Arrested after Internal Investigation

A former Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Direct Supervision Officer Jonathan M. Kwiatkowksi was arrested following a Kenosha Police Department investigation on Friday, according to a release by Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

Kwiatkowski was hired as a Direct Supervision Officer at the Kenosha County Detention Center in January of 2009.

In October of 2015, Kwiatkowski resigned during an internal investigation involving Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department policy violations.   The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department requested assistance from Kenosha Police Department regarding a criminal investigation of Kwiatkowski resulting in his arrest.

Kwiatkowski is currently being held in custody in the Racine County Jail as part of an agreement between Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth and Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling.

Kwiatkowski is scheduled to appear in Kenosha County Intake Court for an initial appearance today, February 8th, 2016, at 1:00 PM.
