Former K9 in Waukesha now Battle Buddy for veteran in Texas

SAN ANGELO, Texas (CBS 58) -- A former K9 for the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is now a Battle Buddy for a veteran living in San Angelo, Texas.

After months of training and fieldwork, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said 'it became apparent that Titus' skillset was better suited for a different career path.'

Titus then underwent training to become a Battle Buddy for a veteran.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department announced on Wednesday that K9 Titus is now living with his Battle Buddy Chris who is an army veteran, injured in a rocket attack in Iraq in 2005.

Chris sent a note to the Sheriff's Department saying "Thanks for giving us a chance to team up and letting Titus find his purpose and me to pursue my purpose in life."
