Former Dairyland Greyhound Track May Become Industrial Park

(AP) — The broker for the former Dairyland Greyhound Park in Kenosha says there are a few offers on the table for the 228-acre site from developers interested in making the property an industrial park.

Transwestern principal Thomas Boyle says he's currently negotiating terms for the property near Interstate 94. The former dog track was listed on the commercial real estate market soon after Gov. Scott Walker rejected a Menominee Nation and Hard Rock International proposal to build an $800 million casino and entertainment complex.

The property is nearly 7 miles from the Illinois border and about 30 minutes from Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee County.

Boyle tells the Kenosha News a deal could soon be finalized.
