MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new, short movie called "Hoops, Hopes & Dreams" has debuted and you know one of its producers.
Former Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton, now with the Washington Wizards, is listed as a producer of the film that reveals an interesting relationship between civil rights pioneer Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and basketball.
"I never knew Dr. Martin Luther King was a basketball fan or a basketball player at that. And just how he used basketball to get people to come out and encourage the protest, come out to his speeches just to gather and get a strong presence," said Middleton
The movie shows how Dr. King used basketball to connect and drive his message of change.
"Hoops, Hopes and Dreams" is streaming now on Hulu.
