Food Delivery Truck Driver in Medically Induced Coma after Being Struck in Head

A food delivery driver is in a medically induced coma after he was struck in the head several times in Madison.

Madison Police said paramedics took him to a hospital where he was placed in a medically induced coma.

The preliminary investigation indicates the 26-year-old struck his head on some type of conduit that was protruding from a parked vehicle, that this caused him to fall, and that he struck his head a second time on the pavement.

His money and other valuables were still on his person, and there was no initial indication that he was the victim of a crime; however, an investigation is ongoing.
