Fond du Lac Police arrest 8 after search warrant executed at home near 6th and Marr

UPDATE: FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fond du Lac Police Department took eight people into custody after the SWAT team executed a search warrant.

The warrant was firearms-related and it was also an attempt to arrest a fugitive from Arizona.

All of the people inside the home surrendered peacefully without incident.

The all clear message has been given to residents who were asked to shelter in their home.

The investigation remains ongoing.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A SWAT operation is currently underway in Fond du Lac.

Police were called to a home near 6th and Marr around 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police are asking residents who live in the area to shelter in their home or basement until further notice.

Police also ask that people avoid the area from Marr Street to Ellis Street and from 4th Street to 7th Street until further notice.
