First Lady Michelle Obama campaigns in Milwaukee for Mary Burke

MILWAUKEE- First Lady Michelle Obama made in stop in Brew City to throw her support behind Democratic candidate for Governor Mary Burke.


The visit comes at a key time as only weeks are left in the election. An appearance by the first lady may be seen as more favorable to burke's campaign. Mrs. Obama's approval rating is nearly 20 points higher than the president's at 61-percent according to a recent pew research poll.


The campaign appearance is also meant to mobilize Democrats, exciting voters and even pulling a few of the undecided as every single vote will count.


This is one of the closest and most watched governor's races in the country.
