Firefighters from 14 departments respond to fully-engulfed home in Port Washington

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Firefighters from four counties responded to a multiple-alarm fire in Port Washington early Saturday morning.

The fire broke out at a home near Grand Avenue and Grandview Drive just after midnight.

According to Port Washington Police, the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene.

Officials said the sole resident of the home was able to escape unharmed.

It took firefighters from 14 different departments in Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, and Washington counties spent roughly four hours fighting the fire.

A damage estimate is not available at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
