Firefighters Battle Two Saturday Garage Fires

Fire departments responded to two separate garage fires on Saturday.

Authorities were notified at 9:28 AM of a garage on fire at 4519 Stoney Creek Road in Jackson. Upon deputy’s arrival, the attached garage was fully on fire. The single family home was occupied by family members at the time the fire was discovered and reported.

The home was safely evacuated without injury. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The home is not currently inhabitable.

At approximately 1:26 PM the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received several 911 calls reporting a garage fire at N2286 State Highway 28 in the Town of Scott. Responding officers confirmed that there was an active fire and the garage was fully engulfed.

Initials reports indicate that the homeowners were not at home when this fire was reported.

The unattached garage and a vehicle parked inside of it appear to be a total loss. The residence also sustained damage as a result. There were no reported injuries.
