Fire near Locust and Vel R. Phillips leaves home uninhabitable

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Firefighters responded to a residential fire early Thursday, March 5 near the corner of Locust and Vel R. Phillips, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department.
The fire was found on the second floor and was extinguished. Everyone who was inside made it out safely and no injuries were reported.
The home has been deemed uninhabitable and the Red Cross has been notified.
MFD says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
