Fire in Oak Creek Destroys Apartment Complex

At 4:13 AM Saturday morning fire units from all over Milwaukee County responded to Oak Creek for an apartment building fire near Howell and Aspen.

Firefighters encountered significant fire in the attic of the building upon their arrival and, after assuring that all occupants were accounted for, assumed a defensive fire attack.

South Milwaukee, Cudahy, St. Francis, Milwaukee, Greendale, Greenfield, Caledonia, Franklin, and Hales Corners among other departments responded.

The American Red Cross and the Oak Creek Health Department were called to assist those affected by the fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
