Fire in north side apartment building

Three people have been displaced from their apartment after an early morning fire in a 16 unit, two story apartment building on Milwaukee’s north side.   According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the fire was contained to just the one apartment but did an estimated $74,000 in damage to the building at N 27th Street and W Roosevelt Drive.   The fire was reported around 2:15 AM and the three were able to get out of the apartment before fire fighters arrived.  No one was injured.   According to Fire Department officials, no of the other residents of the building were affected by the fire.
