Fire damages home on Milwaukee's north side, no injuries to fire crews or civilians

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Miwaukee Fire Department responded to a fire near Hopkins St and W Courtland Ave on Monday morning, Feb. 28. 

The call came in from someone passing by the home around 5:24 a.m.

According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, there was a heavy fire at a one-story residential building when they arrived. 

They were able to put out a majority of the blaze within 15 minutes. 

Crews searched the home multiple times and didn't find anyone inside. The house is believed to be vacant.
