Gurnee, IL (CBS 58)--What's known as a summer hot spot south of the border is now a cool North Pole destination just in time for the holidays. For the first time in its 42-year history, Six Flags Great America is hosting "Holiday in The Park." It consists of more than two million dazzling LED lights, beautifully adorned Christmas trees, thrilling rides, and state-of-the-art decor. One highlight is the "Peppermint Swirl." Let's just say it gives new meaning to sitting and spinning.
The theme park will be opened for all the weekends in December in addition to holiday week as well. Click here for all the information on ticket prices and hours.
