We have now had a few weeks with consistent soaking rains. And that included Wednesday when showers and storms rolled through southeast Wisconsin bringing another good soaking 0.75-1.50" of rain.
That rain, combined with downpours from the last few weeks, was good enough to bring our 2025 precipitation totals to 6.44" which is enough to be above average for the first time this year. Last year was a super wet start to the year so it's an unfair comparison.
Our rain chances aren't done either with a few light showers possible Friday evening through early Saturday morning. The best chance for rain will be after dinnertime but most of it has wrapped up before many of us are out the door for Saturday fun.
Rain with this next chance won't be nearly as heavy as it was on Wednesday with most areas only getting 0.10-0.25". Highest rain totals will likely happen in our southeast counties with some northern and northwest counties staying mostly or completely dry.
