Fifth Graders Donate 200 Stuffed Animals to Germantown Police and Fire Departments

At many fire scenes, it can be difficult to comfort young children who have lost beloved mementos.

That's why local fifth graders are stepping in to offer comfort.

Students from Saint Boniface School set a goal of collecting 200 stuffed animals to give to the Germantown Police and Fire Departments. They hope they'll bring comfort to a child after a fire or 911 call.

Friday afternoon, students gathered in the gym to present all the stuffed animals they collected.

The students far surpassed their goal and ended up donating more than 460 stuffed animals today.
