Festival Foods to open 1st Milwaukee-area store in Hales Corners

HALES CORNERS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Festival Foods will open their first Milwaukee-area store in Hales Corners on Friday, Nov. 8.

According to a news release, the 67,000-square-foot store -- located at 5600 South 108th Street -- will be open 24 hours a day and employ 250 associates.

The news release says the Hales Corners Festival Foods will offer a wide variety of grocery items as well as full-service meat, seafood and deli departments with dozens of salads and hot food options. The store also offers a large natural foods department, fresh sushi, a scratch bakery and catering services.

The floor plan of the Hales Corners location is different from most Festival Foods, with the deli department near the front entrance rather than in the back of the store. The change is designed to make grab-and-go items more accessible to shoppers in a hurry. The Hales Corners Festival Foods also has the latest energy-saving equipment and a Tot Spot, which is Festival Foods’ supervised in-store child care service, as well as a brat stand, available for nonprofit fundraisers.

Mark Skogen, president and CEO of Festival Foods, said the company is honored to join the Hales Corners business community.

“We understand that grocery shoppers have many options, and Festival Foods strives to be the number one choice for many reasons – the best shopping experience, excellent product quality and selection, and exceptional value,” Skogen said.

This is Festival Foods 33rd location in Wisconsin.
