FBI lends hand in search for missing five-day-old baby

BELOIT -- The search is on for Kayden Powell, a boy born just days ago on February 1st. Police say Kayden's mother called 911 around 4:30 a.m. to report her son as missing. The newborn was reportedly taken out of his crib at around.

Kayden's mother, 18-year-old Brianna Marshall, frantically searched for her child before calling police. Once called, police immediately began searching the home in the 800 block of Homeland Court. in the City of Beloit.

Both Kayden's mother and father are being questioned by law enforcement. Police report the parents have been cooperative.

Investigators have focused on Kristen Smith, the half sister of Brianna Marshall. Smith was arrested in Iowa on an unrelated warrant, but is being questioned about Kayden's disappearance.

Kayden's grandmother said, \"All I know is this strange girl comes around all of a sudden and claiming to be my daughter's sister, and was gonna move her baby and Bruce to Colorado and this is girl is in the Army. And they came and got my daughter's stuff yesterday and now that girl is gone and my grand baby is gone.\"
