Fatal snowmobile vs semi crash in Town of Fredonia

OZAUKEE CO. (CBS 58) -- A Town of Fredonia man was killed following a semi vs snowmobile crash near Meadowlark Rd. and State Hwy. 57 in the Town of Fredonia, around 7 p.m. Tuesday night. 

According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, a snowmobile heading westbound on a snowmobile trail over State Hwy. 57 collided with a semi heading northbound. 

The 51-year-old snowmobile operator, was ejected during the crash and later pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Sections of both northbound lanes on State Hwy. 57 were closed until just after 10 p.m. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team.
