MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred near S. 21st St. and W. National Ave. around 11:33 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to police, officers saw a car driving recklessly and attempted to stop it near 12th and Burnham. The driver refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. The driver then lost control of the car and collided with parked cars near 21st and National.
The driver, a 19-year-old male, was severely hurt from the crash. The Milwaukee Fire Department performed life saving measures, but he died on scene.
Two other passengers in the vehicle, a 20-year-old male and 22-year-old female, were also seriously hurt in the crash. They were both transported to a local hospital.
