LISBON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A fatal motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Townline Road and Schlei Road in the Town of Lisbon has left one driver dead.

Police were called to the scene of a head-on collision where a vehicle was overturned and was on fire.

Police say one vehicle had two occupants headed northbound on Townline Road, when it crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic, striking a vehicle headed southbound.

The passenger of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was taken to a hospital via Flight for Life with serious injuries.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was shut down for four-and-a-half hours during the investigation.
