MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- By now, fans across the country have seen Giannis Antetokounmpo's unforgettable Instagram Live from the Chick-fil-A drive-thru. But one fan featured on the livestream says the moment will stick with him.
In the livestream, you can see Aaron Grant ask Antetokounmpo, "Can I touch the trophy?"
The MVP replies, "Fast!"
Grant touches the NBA Championship trophy and screams, "Oh my God!" before running away.
Grant described the experience to CBS 58 after attending the Championship Parade rally on Thursday, July 22 near 5th and McKinley.
"I saw Giannis online. I was like, 'He's at Chick-fil-A. That's down the street. I have to go to Chick-fil-A.' So I went to Chick-fil-A, and I asked him like, 'Can I touch it? Can I touch it? He was like, 'yeah.' I was like, 'yeah let's go,'" he said.
The trip to Chick-fil-A near 124th and Capitol was Grant's first time meeting Antetokounmpo. It was so memorable for the young fan that's he's vowing not to wash his hand until he's able to touch the trophy again.
"This hand has not been washed for a whole 24 hours, I promise you," he said.
On Thursday, Grant got to the Deer District at 7:30 a.m., five hours ahead of the rally, excited to celebrate the team and the player he has been rooting for.
"I believe that Giannis is going to get another finals MVP, and we're going to win next year in the championship. Bucks in six," he said.
