Evers announces more than $400K in grants for Milwaukee-area veterans

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Gov. Evers has announced more than $400,000 in grants benefiting veterans in the Milwaukee area.
The governor made the announcement Tuesday morning. The money will benefit entrepreneurship and job training programs for veterans as they search for jobs.
Gov. Evers says we owe this to the men and women who serve in uniform.
"We need to invest in veterans and their dreams, because when they and their businesses succeed, we all succeed," he said.
A little more than one in ten businesses are owned by veterans in Wisconsin.
They account for about $20 million in annual sales in the state.
