Enjoy What We Have...Heat, Humidity Soon Building

For August standards, you can't get much better than what we had over the weekend . Heat and humidity were in check.  And guess what, the upcoming weekend looks the same.

But, in the meantime, watch the comfort level start to drop, starting Tuesday, as the dew point numbers climb into the 70s.  This means it'll start feeling tropical. And with the buildup of humidity (and temperatures), we have a better chance of scattered storms later Thursday and Friday as a cold front crosses the area.  Some of these storms might be strong as well.

We do desperately need the rain.  Our deficit is now close to seven inches for the year.

It's a good idea to download the free CBS58 weather app when you're on the go, say to State Fair, to see where the storms are forming.
