Encarnacion's walk-off ends long Brewers streak

TORONTO - Edwin Encarnacion's walk-off, three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning did more than end Wednesday's game with a Brewers loss. It also marked the first time all season that the Brewers had been swept in a series.

The Brew Crew lost both games in the short series in Toronto despite Ryan Braun driving in three runs in the two games.

Wily Peralta gave up four runs but pitched solidly against a power-minded Blue Jays lineup. The score stayed tied at four for several innings until Encarnacion took Brandon Kintzler deep with two runners on in the ninth.

The Brewers are off Thursday before travelling to Cincinnati for a weekend series between division rivals. Kyle Lohse will start for the Brewers Friday in search of his 10th win.
