Elderly woman robbed, carjacked at gunpoint in West Allis

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An elderly woman was robbed and carjacked at gunpoint in West Allis.

Police said it happened near 73rd and Beloit over the weekend.

According to police, two suspects approached the woman in her vehicle, produced a firearm, pulled her from her vehicle, and robbed her of her purse and car.

Officers responded to the area and located and arrested two suspects after a short foot pursuit.

The victim's vehicle and her property were recovered.

A firearm was also located.

One suspect is a 19-year old man from West Milwaukee; the other suspect is an 18-year-old man from Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office will be reviewing the case in the near future.

The victim was obviously shaken up, but not seriously injured.
