Students from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and members of local 18 stage hands union erected a 43 foot tall replica of the Eiffel Tower.
The structure is the centerpiece of the street festival that runs Thursday through Sunday.
\"This was a display originally for Macy's. It was in a mall,\" explained local 18 member Paul Gegenhumber. \"MSOE re-engineered for outdoor use. But, its 14 years old and bit by bit we rebuild.\"
All things French start Thursday through the 13th.
Bastille Days is free and there's a storming of the Bastille re-enactment on opening night.
