Early morning fire caused $1-million damage to Eagle Elementary School
An early morning fire did an estimated $1-million in damage to the Eagle Elementary School today. According to Eagle Fire Department officials, firefighters responded to an automatic alarm around 3 AM. When they arrived at the school on E Main Street the Waukesha County community, firefighters found the building filled with smoke and found a fire burning in one classroom. The fire was quickly extinguished. The fire was confined to the classroom and was quickly extinguished. Smoke, however, filled the building. According to Fire Department officials, a restoration company has estimated the clean-up costs to be at least $1,000,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, but Eagle Fire officials said the classroom was undergoing summer cleaning at the time of the fire. No one was injured in fighting the fire and 10 different fire departments assisted the Eagle Fire Department in containing the blaze.
